Berkshire Hathaway: Acquiring People it Deserves via 1971 - 1980 Letters

First came Warren Buffett’s letters during the partnership years of 1957 to 1969. Next up are Buffett’s first ten years of Berkshire Hathaway letters from 1971 to 1980.

Why read Buffett’s letters Dan? Aren’t his many biographies and interviews enough? Wouldn’t the latest CNBC interview contain everything you need to know about Buffett? 

I understand I’m still reading what one person “said” but there is an honesty to the process of reading years of what he said and playing it against what transpired. After years of consuming secondary sources on Buffett, it’s my time to dig into the primary sources. 

I understand the meta angle of you reading a secondary source through my interpretation of Buffett’s letters. Thus continues the cycle where someone might use this as one of many stepping blocks to read all the Buffett letters for themselves.
